Description
The University of San Diego, in partnership with The Old Globe, seeks an executive search firm to lead a national search for the Craig Noel Director of the Shiley Graduate Theatre Program. The selected firm will partner with a search committee to recruit, vet, and present qualified candidates for an open-rank, 12-month director position. The search will support a role involving artistic leadership, academic and administrative oversight of the MFA acting program, curriculum and faculty evaluation, budget and accreditation responsibilities, national recruitment and admissions, audition tours, student mentorship, and liaison work between the university's Department of Theatre and The Old Globe. Proposals must describe the firm's qualifications, relevant higher-education or nonprofit arts search experience, candidate-sourcing and diversity-recruitment methodology, staffing and availability, at least three similar references from the past five years, fees and expenses, payment schedules, project schedule, and any exceptions to the standard terms. The contract term is one year and may be extended by mutual agreement for additional searches, without guaranteeing future work.
