Description
Waterford Unified School District is soliciting proposals for the development and implementation of a community school plan at Waterford High School. The plan must align with the California Community Schools Framework and address eight strategies: Shared Understanding and Commitment, Collective Priorities (Needs and Assets Assessment), Collaborative Leadership, Coherence (Policy and Initiative Alignment), Staffing and Sustainability, Strategic Community Partnerships, Professional Learning, and Centering Community-Based Curriculum and Pedagogy. Key goals include increasing attendance, reducing chronic absenteeism, expanding enriched learning time, and fostering collaborative leadership among staff, students, and community partners. The contractor will work with the school's leadership team to establish a shared governance structure, integrate the community school vision with existing district plans, and develop sustainability plans beyond the implementation grant period.
