Description
The Village of DePue is soliciting construction bids for a lead service line replacement project. The work includes identifying and replacing lead services from the water main to the curb stop and from the curb stop to each building meter; installing polyethylene service lines, corporation stops, service saddles, curb stops, curb boxes, tracer wire, and related appurtenances; removing abandoned services and meter boxes; and restoring interior and exterior property conditions. The contractor must coordinate access with residents, document existing and completed conditions photographically, maintain traffic control and utility protection, and restore parkways, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, pavement, landscaping, and hardscape disturbed by construction. The project is subject to Illinois Environmental Protection Agency loan-program requirements, Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, disadvantaged business enterprise affirmative-effort requirements, Build America, Buy America requirements, Illinois worker and apprenticeship provisions where applicable, and specified nondiscrimination and debarment certifications. Bidders must submit a notarized Statement of Bidder's Qualifications demonstrating significant water-main construction experience, including similar projects exceeding $500,000 completed within the past 10 years. Substantial completion is required by November 2, 2027, with final completion by November 30, 2027.
