Description
The Village of DePue is soliciting bids for a construction contractor to replace lead water service lines at multiple residential properties. The work includes exploration trenches; removal and replacement of service lines from the water main to the curb box and from the curb box to the meter; installation of corporation stops, service saddles, curb stops, curb boxes, valves, tracer wire, and related appurtenances; domestic water service shutoffs; house grounding; meter-box and abandoned-service removal; and interior and exterior restoration. Additional work includes trench backfill, tile repair, driveway and sidewalk restoration, curb and gutter work, parkway restoration, landscaping and hardscape repair, street cleaning, traffic control, utility coordination, and photographic documentation of each replacement. The project is subject to Davis-Bacon and Illinois prevailing-wage requirements, disadvantaged business enterprise requirements, Build America, Buy America requirements, Illinois Works apprenticeship requirements, and applicable safety and utility regulations. Substantial completion is required by November 2, 2027, and final completion by November 30, 2027; liquidated damages are $200 per calendar day for late substantial completion.
