Description
The Peoria Park District is soliciting bids for specified animal grain products, forage, diets, and wood shavings for the Peoria Zoo. The bid form lists 28 products, including Mazuri diets, canine food, Timothy grass pellets, and large- and medium-flake wood shavings. Quantities are annual estimates for bidding purposes and may be adjusted; products must meet the stated specifications, and substitutions are permitted only for items marked with an asterisk. Substitute bids must identify the proposed product and provide sufficient evaluation information, such as a product cut sheet or label copy. The resulting nonexclusive contract is for one year beginning approximately October 1, 2026. Orders will be placed monthly, delivery is required within three weeks of each order, and products must be fresh and delivered within 30 days preceding the order date. Pricing must include delivery and unloading. The vendor must be able to off-load products and place them at various zoo locations using a forklift, pallet jack, or similar device, with deliveries scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
