Description
The Village of DePue is soliciting construction bids for replacement of lead service lines at various locations within the village. The work includes exploration trenches; removal and replacement of domestic water service lines from the water main to the curb box and from the curb box to meters; new polyethylene service lines, corporation stops, service saddles, curb stops, curb boxes, and related appurtenances; interior plumbing reconnection; house grounding; water service shutoffs; and removal or plugging of abandoned services. The project also includes traffic control, trench backfill, utility coordination, driveway, sidewalk, curb and gutter, pavement, parkway, hardscape, landscaping, tile, sign, and mailbox restoration. Contractors must provide photographic documentation of each replacement and comply with Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, Illinois public-works requirements, Build America, Buy America requirements, disadvantaged-business-enterprise affirmative-effort requirements, and applicable Illinois EPA loan-program provisions. Substantial completion is required by November 2, 2027, with final completion by November 30, 2027. A five-percent bid bond or certified check is required; performance and payment bonds, each for 100 percent of the contract price, are required after award.
