Description
The U.S. Navy requires preventive maintenance, annual fork inspections, diagnostics, operational testing, corrective maintenance, emergency repairs, battery and charger servicing, corrosion control, and related maintenance documentation for up to 26 government-owned forklifts and other material handling equipment. Covered assets include diesel, gasoline, LPG, and electric-powered equipment from manufacturers including Doosan, Drexel, Hyster, Hyundai, Toyota, and Yale. The contractor must provide qualified personnel, supervision, transportation, tools, diagnostic equipment, routine maintenance parts, consumables, and other resources necessary for performance. The work includes a minimum on-site staffing complement of one Senior Maintenance Mechanic and one Mid-Level Maintenance Mechanic during normal operating hours, plus a Project Manager. The contractor must respond to emergency maintenance calls within four hours, maintain at least 90% equipment availability, comply with OEM, Navy, OSHA, environmental, and installation requirements, and submit required quality, safety, maintenance, personnel, performance, and repair documentation. The procurement uses a lowest-price technically acceptable evaluation and a three-year ordering period.
