Description
The City of Tacoma is soliciting bids to establish one or more citywide on-call contracts for hydro-excavation, vactor services, mechanical street sweeping, vault and catch-basin cleaning, storm-line jetting, dewatering and disposal, contaminated solids and liquid disposal, supplementary labor, flagging, and emergency or remote mobilization. Work will support City departments, including Tacoma Public Utilities, and may occur at Tacoma facilities and remote utility project locations. The City may make multiple awards covering different schedules or a single award covering all services. The estimated contract value is $500,000. The initial term is three years with one one-year extension option. Bidders must meet minimum experience requirements, submit prior public-agency contract references, provide a bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid, and provide payment and performance bonds equal to 25% of the contract total if awarded. The solicitation also requires prevailing-wage compliance, specified insurance coverage, and Equity in Contracting participation, including 8% minority-owned business, 4% women-owned business, and 11% small-business participation requirements. Required bid materials include the Signature Page, Price Proposal Form, Bid Bond or permitted cashier's check, State Responsibility and Reciprocal Bid Preference Information, EIC Utilization Form, and Record of Prior Contracts.
