Description
Franklin County seeks an individual attorney or law firm to provide prosecution services for civil and traffic infractions in its Municipal Court. The prosecutor will handle case-filing decisions, advise the Sheriff’s Department on trial preparation, interview witnesses and victims, conduct discovery, advise victims, appear at hearings and trials, make sentencing recommendations, and prepare legal materials such as memoranda, subpoenas, and jury instructions. Proposers must identify their qualifications and approach, describe relevant prosecution and trial experience, disclose potential conflicts and relevant litigation or disciplinary complaints, propose a compensation structure, and provide three professional references. The selected attorney must be licensed in Missouri; three or more years of experience, including significant trial experience, is preferred. The services are intended to begin on or before January 1, 2027.
