Description
The City of Norwalk is soliciting a qualified Ford OEM dealership to supply and deliver genuine Ford parts and perform repairs, diagnostics, inspections, engine and transmission replacements, and recall work for the Norwalk Transit System’s Ford fleet, including SUVs, vans, and light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks up to an F-750. Aftermarket parts will not be accepted. The contractor must provide the labor, parts, materials, equipment, OEM training, special tooling, and facility capabilities needed for the work, including secure vehicle storage while vehicles are in the contractor’s possession. Parts must generally be delivered to the City’s transportation facility within seven business days, and repair work must follow Ford specifications and procedures. The solicitation requires a qualified Ford dealership with at least five years of relevant experience and satisfactory references. Pricing includes labor rates, parts pricing or discounts, and delivery charges; purchases are as needed with no guaranteed minimum quantity. The initial agreement runs from January 1, 2027, through June 30, 2030, with two possible one-year extensions.
