Description
The Florida Department of Health is soliciting applications for projects that delay sexual activity, reduce teen births, and increase protective factors among youth ages 10 to 19. Applicants must propose a community-integrated program serving youth, parents, and adults with direct and ongoing influence on youth development. Activities may include evidence-informed education, community partnerships, resources, community meetings, topical training, youth leadership opportunities, and evaluation of project outcomes. Applicants must submit a project narrative, budget summary and narrative, required assurances, legal-entity documentation, and an application checklist. Projects must meet the selected funding-level deliverables, comply with education-content approval and fidelity requirements, provide monthly reporting, and use staff employed directly by the funded organization; subcontracting is not allowed. Available awards are $150,000 to $200,000 per year, with $1,500,000 available in total funding. The resulting contract period is from execution through September 30, 2027.
