Description
Monterey-Salinas Transit District is soliciting bids for the purchase and initial installation of outdoor digital display systems at three operational transit centers and shelters originally equipped with digital displays. The requirement includes 13 transit-station displays, consisting of 12 units plus one spare, and 30 JAZZ shelter displays, consisting of 26 units plus four spares. The displays must be full-color, outdoor-capable, vandal-resistant, compatible with the Message Point Media MP.TV application through a directly installable operating system, and capable of Wi-Fi and 4G-or-better cellular connectivity, including AT&T FirstNet support. The systems must also support agency-defined sleep modes triggered by time, ambient light, or motion, and bidders must provide warranty, repair or replacement policies, reliability information, and all materials and equipment needed for the work. The selected contractor will install the awarded hardware on a mutually agreed schedule and provide knowledge transfer so trained MST staff can maintain the systems. The work is identified as a public works project and includes prevailing-wage, California Department of Industrial Relations registration, federal transit funding, Buy America or Build America/Buy America compliance, insurance, bonding when applicable, and other federal and state requirements. Bidders must submit a cover letter, required forms, a cost proposal with a price breakdown, a financial statement, and two reference letters; the solicitation also requires evidence of relevant experience and other qualification information.
