Description
The City seeks a qualified engineering and/or architectural consulting firm to assess existing shade structures at four locations: two structures each at William Peak Park and George Bellis Park, two at Heroes (San Marino) Park, and a gazebo with four side panels at Mayor’s Garden. The work includes visual, nondestructive condition assessments; photographic documentation; recommendations and alternatives for repair, rehabilitation, replacement, or demolition and reconstruction; conceptual graphics for the City’s preferred alternative; planning-level cost estimates; and phasing recommendations. Detailed engineering design and construction documents are excluded. The consultant must provide project coordination, schedules, meeting minutes, a draft assessment report, and a final report. Proposals must include a detailed scope and methodology, consultant representatives and project team information, resumes, references, schedule, and a fee proposal, with the fee proposal in a separate sealed envelope. Minimum qualifications include a valid California professional civil engineer or architect license and at least three completed park shade structure assessments or similar renovation projects. The project is identified as subject to prevailing wage requirements as applicable.
