The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh is seeking proposals for the purchase and redevelopment of scattered housing sites in the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The project involves approximately 1.2 acres across 22 non-contiguous parcels, which are a mix of vacant lots and structures owned by the City of Pittsburgh. Developers must demonstrate their capacity to raise private capital, develop, and deliver these projects. The properties are zoned for local neighborhood commercial or single-unit detached residential use. The URA requires developers to adhere to their disposition process, which includes executing a disposition contract, providing payment and performance bonds for 100% of the contract price, and covering all closing costs. The URA also has specific requirements for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation (18% MBE, 7% WBE) and Minority Workforce Inclusion (MWI) (12% goal).
