Description
The City of Pasadena is seeking one or more qualified consultants to provide customized Cal/OSHA safety training for municipal employees. The scope may include training for Public Works, Water and Power, Transportation, Parks and Recreation, Police non-operational personnel, Fire non-operational personnel, and Administrative Services. Training topics may include job hazard analysis, heavy equipment, traffic control and flagging, lockout/tagout, confined-space entry and rescue, personal protective equipment, fall protection, excavation and trenching, hot work and welding, electrical safety, hazardous energy control, HAZWOPER, hazardous-waste and hazardous-materials management, loader and aerial-lift safety, qualified rigging, stormwater pollution prevention, office safety, active-threat awareness, fire extinguishers, and drug- and alcohol-impairment awareness. Deliverables include customized materials, instructor-led in-person, hybrid, or virtual sessions, practical demonstrations and assessments, attendance logs, training certificates, updated training matrices, and quarterly or annual completion reports. Training must align with Cal/OSHA, applicable California requirements, City policies, and department procedures, with sessions scheduled around operational needs, including early mornings and occasional Saturdays.
