Description
The City of Austell is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the renovation and structural expansion of the existing engine bay at Fire Station 72. This project will create an expanded training area and additional office spaces. The scope of work includes demolition of the existing roof system and associated components, construction of a new roof and second-level support system, and interior build-out for four offices, a hallway, and a training room. Mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems will be reinstalled, relocated, modified, or replaced as needed. The roofing and exterior will be replaced, including sheathing, shingles, soffits, gutters, and downspouts, with a focus on creating weather-tight transitions. Contractors must be licensed in Georgia and provide a minimum 10-year structural warranty and a 10-year roofing workmanship warranty. Proposals must include separate pricing for demolition, structural framing, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, roofing, and exterior work.
