Description
The University of Utah, on behalf of the Utah Education and Telehealth Network consortium, is soliciting proposals for leased lit-fiber Ethernet wide-area-network services, shared backbone connections, Internet access, and related Category One network equipment. The scope covers hundreds of school, library, higher-education, tribal, public, and private sites throughout Utah, with requested capacities ranging from 100 Mbps to 100 Gbps and multiple awards possible by location. WAN and backbone pricing is generally requested for a five-year term with one optional one-year extension; Internet access pricing is requested for three years with two sequential one-year extensions, except where the attachments specify different terms. Installation, initial configuration, recurring charges, non-recurring charges, and any applicable equipment costs must be included in the applicable cost proposal. Lit fiber is preferred; wireless is not accepted, and dark fiber is not accepted unless specifically requested. Proposals must include the applicable cost proposal attachment, Attachment F, the Exception/Compliance Summary, and acknowledgment of addenda, with cost documents uploaded separately from the technical proposal through the designated electronic procurement portal.
