Description
Fort Valley State University is purchasing one customized, USDA-compliant 53-foot refrigerated semi-trailer configured as a self-contained mobile poultry processing facility. The trailer must support live-bird receiving, harvesting, scalding, defeathering, evisceration, inspection, washing, vacuum packaging, refrigerated storage, and cold-product holding, with sanitary separation between raw processing, clean processing, packaging, and waste areas. The required unit includes commercial refrigeration for the cooler and evisceration/packaging rooms; insulated and washable food-safe construction; potable-water, hot-water, plumbing, drainage, and wastewater systems; generator and shore-power electrical systems; ventilation; propane; integrated waste handling; hands-free sanitation stations; stainless-steel processing tables; killing cones, scalder, and poultry plucker; overhead processing rails; vacuum packers; drying racks; storage racks, baskets, and cabinet; and a USDA inspection station. The solicitation describes this as a one-time purchase and requires delivery no later than January 15, 2027. Suppliers must demonstrate relevant experience, provide client references, answer sourcing-event questions, submit pricing through the electronic sourcing tool, and upload required compliance and supporting materials.
