Description
The City of Fort Worth is soliciting construction bids for rehabilitation of Runway 18R-36L and reconstruction of Taxiways Alpha and Charlie at Fort Worth Spinks Airport. Work includes asphalt milling and overlays, drainage and underdrain infrastructure, pavement removal, excavation, lime-treated subgrade, aggregate base, asphalt paving, sodding, pavement markings, temporary runway and haul-road work, airfield lighting and safety measures, and construction phasing. The project includes base bid schedules and three additive alternates. Addendum No. 1 establishes contract durations of 123 calendar days plus a 90-day procurement period for the base bid, 193 days with Additive Alternate 1, 213 days with Additive Alternates 1 and 2, or 293 days with all three alternates. The contractor must coordinate airport access, escorts, non-movement-area driving training, foreign-object-debris control, construction traffic marking, grade verification, quality-control testing, and applicable federal airport provisions. A five-percent bid bond is required, and the solicitation requires electronic submission through the procurement portal. The DBE goal is 0%.
