Description
The University of Utah, on behalf of the Utah Education and Telehealth Network consortium, is soliciting proposals under RFP #UU220560030 for leased lit-fiber Ethernet WAN services, shared UETN backbone connections, standalone internet access, and Category One network equipment. The procurement covers numerous educational, library, and related eligible entities, with requested capacities ranging from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps and installation and initial configuration included where applicable. Wireless service is not accepted, and dark fiber is excluded unless specifically requested. Vendors must submit applicable WAN or internet-access cost proposals separately from the technical proposal, along with Attachment F, the Exception/Compliance Summary, acknowledged addenda, and all other required RFP responses. E-Rate-supported vendors must provide a valid USAC-issued SPIN, maintain current FCC Form 473/SPAC certification, demonstrate FCC good standing, and comply with E-Rate requirements. WAN pricing is requested for five years with one optional one-year extension, while internet-access pricing is requested for three years with two sequential one-year extensions; the anticipated effective start date is July 1, 2027.
