Description
The University of Utah, on behalf of the Utah Education and Telehealth Network consortium, is soliciting proposals under RFP #UU220560030 for leased lit-fiber Ethernet WAN services, shared UETN backbone connections, standalone Internet access, and Category One network equipment. The solicitation covers multiple service requests ranging from 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps, including approximately 433 1-Gbps data-transmission circuits, 85 10-Gbps circuits, additional variable-capacity circuits, Internet access from 50 Gbps to 100 Gbps, and network equipment associated with up to 95 locations. Installation and initial configuration are required for the listed service requests. WAN and backbone pricing is requested for five years with one optional one-year extension, while Internet access pricing is requested for three years with two sequential one-year extensions, subject to exceptions in Attachment A. Lit fiber is preferred; wireless is not accepted, and dark fiber is excluded unless specifically requested. Vendors must submit applicable cost proposals separately from the technical proposal, along with Attachment F and the Exception/Compliance Summary, acknowledge addenda, and comply with applicable E-Rate requirements, including maintaining a USAC-issued SPIN and current FCC Form 473/SPAC when seeking E-Rate-supported services.
