Description
The City of La Center is soliciting bids for HMA patching at two locations: 2-inch asphalt placement over 1,848 square feet at the batting cages at Holly Park and 3-inch asphalt placement over 480 square feet on Spencer Road, for a total of 2,328 square feet. The city will perform site preparation and compaction; the contractor is responsible for verifying field measurements and quantities and must provide asphalt meeting WSDOT specifications. The bid must include separate pricing for mobilization, HMA, the project bond for the lump-sum bid, tax, and the total lump-sum bid. Work must be completed within 30 business days of a mutually accepted start date and no later than November 30, 2026. Washington prevailing-wage requirements apply. A 5% bid bond or equivalent security is required, and the successful bidder must provide a 100% contract-price surety bond within 10 calendar days of award. The contractor must also obtain the required insurance and a City of La Center business license before beginning work.
