Description
This project involves a comprehensive upgrade of the electrical distribution system at Binghamton University. The scope includes the installation of new electric feeders and manholes, as well as new electric switchgear and air-cooled transformers within twenty electric rooms across the campus. Additionally, the project requires the decommissioning and removal of the old electric substation. Hazardous materials abatement is also included as part of the work. Plans will be available after June 16, 2026, through Dataflow. A project walk-through is scheduled for June 23, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. at the Binghamton University Physical Facilities Building, Conference Room C. Bidders are required to review the Bid and Post Bid Checklist on the Fund's website for bidder qualifications and other requirements. Subcontracting is permitted, with principal subcontractors needing to be named within 48 hours after bid opening. Bidders must also submit within 48 hours either certification of their NYS VendRep questionnaire or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form, along with specified attachments and a preliminary project schedule. EEO goals for this project include a 6% minority workforce and a 3% female workforce. Specific goals are also set for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) at 3.00%, Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) at 5.00%, and Women Business Enterprise (WBE) at 5.00%.
