Description
Pierce County Government Relations is seeking a consultant to represent the County's interests at the Washington State level. The selected consultant will serve as a liaison and report activities to the County Executive or designee coordinating legislative advocacy efforts. The scope includes monitoring and analyzing legislation; recommending responses to legislative proposals and budgetary actions affecting the County; meeting with state-level officials to advocate for County priorities; supporting policy development and funding requests; and advising the County Executive, County Council, countywide elected officials, and County staff on advocacy strategy. The opportunity is structured as an ongoing professional services engagement with work authorized through executed work assignments.
