Avon Local School District is requesting Category 2 managed internal broadband services for existing applicant-owned equipment across seven eligible entities. The scope includes managed services and maintenance for 55 Cisco switches, 19 Hewlett Packard switches, 358 Aruba wireless access points, 27 Vertiv uninterruptible power supply/battery backup units, and one Fortinet firewall service and component line item. The district clarified that the proposal should price managed services for the equipment collectively, using annual and/or monthly fees rather than extended per-line pricing. The provider is expected to perform configuration changes, firmware and patch management, and hardware RMA handling, and should propose service levels. On-site visits are expected only when needed, with their cost included in the total managed-services price. Manufacturer support licenses and subscriptions are excluded from this procurement. The district stated that firewall management and platform-specific certification are not required.
