Description
Monterey-Salinas Transit District is soliciting bids for 50 digital display systems, including 48 displays and two spares, for transit centers and bus shelters that lack utility power. The solution must include all supporting hardware needed for independent operation, such as solar panels, batteries, and related power-management equipment, and must be suitable for outdoor environments with resistance to vandalism. Displays must support the agency's Message Point Media MP.TV content-management platform, remote updates through Wi-Fi and 4G-or-better cellular connectivity including AT&T FirstNet, operating-system security and stability updates, configurable sleep modes, and relocation or self-maintenance by trained agency staff. The awardee must initially install the equipment, provide knowledge transfer, state warranty and repair/replacement policies, and provide reliability information. The work is a public works project subject to California registration, licensing, prevailing-wage, federal-funding, Buy America, bonding, insurance, and other applicable requirements.
