Description
The contractor will inspect, start up, winterize, and provide preventive maintenance, repair, replacement, and emergency service for air-conditioning systems, furnaces, boilers, and hot water heaters at the listed sites. The work includes supplying the materials, tools, equipment, and filters needed for service; maintaining equipment and systems; preparing inspection and service reports; and responding to emergency and callback requests within four hours. Bidders may submit pricing for one or more of four clusters, with each cluster evaluated separately and multiple awards possible. The anticipated contract term is five years. The solicitation requires a journeyman-level supervisory technician, at least three years of relevant experience, references when requested, applicable insurance, and New York State Department of Labor contractor registration and a registration certificate with the bid. Subcontracting requires prior written approval. Repairs, replacements, and modifications are subject to prevailing wage requirements; inspections, start-up, and winterization are not covered by Article 8.
