Description
The Saginaw County Road Commission is requesting proposals from engineering consultants for the full replacement of the Wickie Road bridge over Lamb Creek in Brady Township. Design services include topographic surveying, bridge and roadway plans, soil borings, permits, utility and agency coordination, MDOT/FHWA program documentation, cost estimates, special provisions, right-of-way certification, environmental and historic-preservation documentation, design exceptions, erosion-control plans, work-zone mobility planning, meetings, and final plans and specifications. The project is intended to retain the existing two-lane road cross section and meet a proposed letting date no later than December 2027. Construction administration services include project management, field inspection, staking, materials sampling and testing, quality assurance, daily records, progress reporting, claims and change-order support, final inspection and acceptance, project documentation, and preparation of final estimates and as-built drawings. Design compensation will generally be lump sum, while construction engineering will be paid on an actual cost-plus-fixed-fee, not-to-exceed basis. Proposals are limited to five pages for the project understanding and team description, excluding resumes, references, and the proposed timeline; selection will consider cost, project understanding, timeline commitment, and team resumes.
