Description
Palm Beach County is seeking a new, custom-built, 9,000-gallon Standard Petroleum fuel tanker trailer, DOT 406 certified, with two compartments and top- and bottom-loading capability. The trailer must be able to draw fuel from underground tanks and dispense fuel through trailer-mounted meters, including when detached from a vehicle. Required equipment includes overfill protection, vapor recovery, jet-level sensing, a super tanker package, two engine-driven pumps and meters, hose reels, and associated safety and operating components. The tanker must meet the detailed material, construction, chassis, braking, lighting, and equipment specifications in the solicitation. This is a one-time goods purchase. The successful bidder must provide a new, current-production unit with factory warranties and deliver it within 60 calendar days after receipt of the purchase order. Bidders must identify the offered manufacturer/brand and model, provide a signed bid response, and include descriptive product literature; the County may request additional qualification information after submission. The bid package also requires specified certifications and SBE schedules, with some forms conditional on subcontractor use or a claim for local preference.
