Description
The County of Kaua'i, Department of Public Works, Division of Solid Waste, is soliciting bids for services to collect reusable materials from thrift stores, businesses, and the public. The contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary materials, labor, transportation, tools, supplies, equipment, and machinery to perform collection events, pickup services, and staffing. The contractor must hold a minimum of ten public collection events at the Kaua'i Resource Center, located at 3460 Ahukini Road, Lihu'e, HI 96766. These events will be held on Fridays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and the contractor must clear out warehouse areas and storage containers after each event. The contractor will also be required to establish contact with thrift stores and businesses to accept and pick up reusable items at no cost to those establishments. The contract term is three years with two one-year extension options.
