Description
The County of Kaua'i is soliciting one new, current-production 22-inch-capacity towable whole-tree chipper with a diesel engine and double axle. The specified equipment is generally comparable in size and capability to a Bandit 20XP Towable and must include a 26-by-24-inch opening, 36-inch-diameter by 24-inch drum with four knives, 350-horsepower Cummins diesel engine, 60-gallon fuel tank, 40-gallon hydraulic tank, 95 feet-per-minute feed rate, slide-box feed system, radio remote with tether backup, hydraulic-controlled chip deflector, and related specified dimensions and components. The contractor must furnish and deliver the fully assembled equipment, provide required weight and vehicle-registration documentation, meet applicable federal, state, and county safety requirements, and provide a standard manufacturer's warranty, technical manuals, and warranty service. The bidder must have an established Kaua'i service facility or designate a qualified Kaua'i repair facility. Delivery is required within 240 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed.
