Description
This solicitation is for the manufacture of a 409, Commercial Form. The item must meet specific material and physical requirements as detailed in part number 35306, CAGE 93098. All items delivered must be marked in accordance with applicable Military Standards and Specifications, including MIL-STD-130 for mechanical parts and assemblies, and MIL-STD-1285 or MIL-STD-130 for electrical and electronic parts. Configuration control is required per MIL-STD-973, with specific procedures for submitting Engineering Change Proposals, Requests for Deviations, and Requests for Waivers. A critical requirement is the shelf-life management, mandating that items have not less than 85% of their shelf-life remaining upon receipt by the first Government activity. This includes specific marking requirements for Type I and Type II shelf-life items, expressed by month and the last two digits of the calendar year. Quality assurance responsibilities are also outlined, requiring contractors to maintain inspection records and ensure all products meet contract requirements.
