Description
This solicitation is for a complete stem and disk assembly, item number 92, consisting of items 13, 48, 18, 20, and 34. The material is designated as SPECIAL EMPHASIS material (Level I, Scope of Certification, or Quality Assured) due to its critical use in a shipboard system where failure could result in serious personnel injury, loss of life, or loss of the ship itself. The assembly must comply with NAVSEA drawing 803-6397434 part number 803-6397434-X23XX1-092 and Naval Sea Systems Command General Notes drawing 803-5959311, with specific requirements for materials, testing, and quality control. Materials for the stem and disk must meet MIL-DTL-24252 specifications, and ultrasonic inspection is required. A certificate of compliance is mandatory, demonstrating full compliance with all specifications and requirements. The contract will be rated DO for national defense use under the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS).
