Description
South Dakota State University is soliciting Statements of Interest from firms capable of providing professional architectural and engineering planning services for a comprehensive Housing, Residential Life, and Dining Services Master Plan. The study will address approximately 18 residence halls and apartment buildings, townhomes, houses, and dining facilities across the main campus, with current capacity of approximately 4,734 beds and more than 825,000 square feet of Residential Life space and 56,000 square feet of dining space. The scope includes discovery and data collection; review of enrollment, strategic, housing, dining, and higher-education trends; peer institution analysis; an off-campus housing market study; inventory, utilization, and condition analysis; alignment of space needs with university goals; stakeholder engagement; phased capital improvement planning for short-, mid-, and long-term needs; constructability analysis; and financial modeling. The Statement of Interest should describe specialized expertise, technical approach, resources, past performance, experience with project constraints, project management techniques, availability, and familiarity with the project locale. A 20-page limit is requested but is not mandatory.
