Description
The Land Trust Alliance seeks a consultant to support its Forest Conservation Easements for Land Trusts program. Services include preparing and delivering the annual grant round; outreach to land trusts; pre-submission guidance on proposal eligibility and completeness; support for the grant review process and awardee grant agreements; and technical assistance to new and past awardees as they develop conservation easement projects. The consultant will also review transaction documentation and grant reports, help develop an easement template and other program documents, and administer grants using the Alliance’s electronic grants management software. The initial contract is for January 1 through December 31, 2027, with possible annual renewals through September 30, 2031. The stated annual budget is $45,000–$55,000. Proposals are evaluated on conservation easement and real estate expertise, knowledge of New York land trusts and program requirements, project lifecycle support, grants management and technical assistance, proposal completeness, and cost. The selected contractor must carry general liability insurance at the stated minimum limits at contract execution.
