Description
Charlotte Mecklenburg Library is seeking an audio-visual production partner for five New Main Library opening events during the week of April 26, 2027: a staff celebration and preview, press preview and media event, donor recognition event, ribbon cutting, and public opening day. Dates, attendance estimates, program elements, and technical requirements remain preliminary and may change during planning. The selected firm will collaborate with the Library after award to finalize the scope, conduct site access and planning, and review Library-owned technical systems. The scope includes audio, video, presentation systems, distributed audio across all five floors and specified terraces and plazas, complete video display systems for the optional Spirit Square program, support for small musical groups, and a quiet generator for the exterior ribbon-cutting event. The vendor must provide planning, equipment, installation, operation, troubleshooting, and removal, while coordinating with other parties providing staging. No rigging or attachment to walls or the building is permitted, and cabling must be discrete and protected where it crosses guest paths. The Library permits a prime contractor to use a named AV subcontractor and will post further information in its FAQs.
