Description
Indian River County Utility Services is soliciting firm fixed prices for the as-needed supply and delivery of 93% sulfuric acid to the South County Water Plant and North County Water Plant. The product must be a current manufacturer offering, and bidders must provide the product's MSDS sheet, product literature, product data sheets, and any specifications needed to verify compliance. The initial performance period is November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027, with two additional one-year renewal periods available subject to vendor acceptance, satisfactory performance, and the County's determination that renewal is in its best interest. Addendum 1 identifies Shrieve Chemical Company, LLC as the current supplier at $3.01 per gallon, estimates delivery loads at 3,000 gallons, and states that split loads between the two delivery locations are extremely rare. Bidders must submit the required certifications and questionnaire, complete the online bid table, and provide proof of an occupational license or business tax receipt, current liability insurance, and a W-9. Required insurance includes workers' compensation as required by law, commercial general liability, commercial automobile liability, and pollution liability covering sulfuric-acid transportation and handling.
