Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting proposals for Project 589A7-23-305, Prepare Site for Choice Dining Equipment, at an active medical center. The work includes phased renovation of approximately 2,500 square feet of kitchen space, including demolition, walls, ceilings, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, flooring, finishes, fire-suppression coordination, and installation of new kitchen equipment. The contractor must provide temporary kitchen equipment for the phased work; that equipment may be rented or contractor-owned, must support ongoing Nutrition and Food Services operations, and must be removed from government property at the end of the contract. The contractor is responsible for required permits, inspections, approvals, certifications, nightly cleanup, and coordination in the active hospital environment. The overall performance period is 210 calendar days, with an anticipated temporary-kitchen duration of 140 days. The amendment answers contractor questions, confirms that equivalent equipment and alternate temporary-kitchen solutions may be proposed subject to approval, and publishes the site-visit sign-in sheet. The solicitation is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses and requires acknowledgment of the amendment. Required submission materials include an SF330 and Past Performance Questionnaire.
