Description
The Catawba Nation is soliciting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide engineering and FEMA grant support services for a Backup Power Generation Resiliency Project under FEMA's Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) Program. Services include facility assessments, electrical load studies, generator feasibility evaluations, conceptual design, cost estimating, and technical assistance to develop a competitive BRIC grant application. The project aims to enhance resilience and continuity of operations during disasters, severe weather, and utility outages through permanent standby emergency power systems at critical tribal facilities, including Public Works, Transit, Food Distribution facilities, IHS Clinic, Medical Office Building, Lodge, ISWA Housing Facility, and Teen Center. The consultant will also assess relocation and reuse of existing diesel generators.
