Description
Strathcona County is seeking a supplier to provide, deliver, and apply approximately 1,200 tonnes annually of Type 10 Normal Portland Cement for road construction at various locations within the County. The work includes supplying cement meeting CAN/CSA-A5 specifications, bulk hauling, off-loading, and spreading the material. The supplier must provide suitable cement spreaders, including at least one unit with a minimum 20-tonne capacity capable of continuously spreading material at up to 30 kg/m2 in two passes. The supplier must also provide certified platform scales and a qualified scale person, perform quality-control testing using qualified Alberta engineering and laboratory services, accommodate fluctuating and short-notice requests, and maintain flexible operating hours. Pricing is requested for two cement delivery and spreading categories and billable waiting time, with a one-year term and up to four one-year extensions.
