Description
The U.S. Army seeks a commercially operated vessel or maritime platform, qualified crew, and related marine operations to support Government-directed research, development, testing, training, and rehearsal involving autonomous and uncrewed maritime systems. Services include vessel availability, temporary and reversible mission configuration, launch and recovery, deck handling, power and communications support, instrumentation, data collection, event logistics, reporting, and demobilization/restoration as applicable. The desired platform is generally 78–100 meters long, with station-keeping capability, configurable deck space, launch-and-recovery equipment, and berthing for at least 16 personnel in addition to the crew; alternate configurations may be proposed if they meet the functional need. The response is a solution brief of no more than 10 pages, excluding commercial literature, resumes, and appendices. It must address the proposed commercial solution, technical and operational capability, mobilization and availability, up to three relevant experience examples, management and safety, risks, commercial terms, and ability to comply with applicable requirements. Detailed pricing is not required at this stage. The anticipated vehicle is an IDIQ with a one-year ordering period, a $500,000 guaranteed minimum, and a $49,999,999 ceiling; an initial task order is anticipated for January through March 2027.
