Description
This Sources Sought notice is market research for a planned construction project to remediate pedestrian routes and parking areas. The work includes replacing rubber speed bumps with asphalt speed humps, installing a raised crosswalk, expanding an existing sidewalk, adding an alternate sidewalk, and revising the drive aisle and parking layout for one-way traffic flow. The contractor will provide labor and materials, survey existing site features, prepare and submit a survey report and site plan, and provide signage and barrier plans. Work also includes demolition, surface preparation, sealcoating, striping, and disposal of removed materials. The draft statement of work estimates 26,516 square feet within the project limits, including approximately 6,025 square feet of new concrete features and 14,730 square feet of new asphalt features. Work is expected to take no longer than 190 calendar days from notice to proceed. Interested firms are asked to provide capability information, including bonding capacity, relevant construction experience, up to five comparable projects valued at $800,000 or more and completed within the past eight years, average price per square foot for those projects, and information about subcontractor locations. This is a non-binding market research notice, not a request for proposals or an offer to procure the work. A future Request for Quote is anticipated, but no solicitation documents currently exist.
