Description
Round Rock Independent School District seeks dedicated 10 Gb Ethernet transport, scalable to 100 Gb, or equivalent lit-fiber service. Proposals may address alternative routes from the District Network Operations Center or Westwood High School to either of two specified data-center handoff locations. Cross-connects must be included, and the proposal must clearly identify the proposed service option and locations, transport type, route, and demarcation equipment requirements. Pricing must separately identify non-recurring, monthly recurring, and other costs, with eligible and ineligible costs distinguished. The proposed service must provide dedicated, bidirectional full-duplex Ethernet with a standard IEEE 802.3 interface, support an MTU of at least 1,518 bytes, and include a service-level agreement. The District requires physically diverse routes relative to its existing secondary data-center connection, disclosure of shared-risk infrastructure and exceptions, and supporting route and network diagrams. The solicitation contemplates a 36-month contract with two one-year options; service is to begin July 1, 2027.
