Description
The City of Abbotsford is contemplating a direct award to Verkada Inc. for the one-time purchase, installation, configuration, and commissioning of a Verkada surveillance trailer for the Abbotsford Police Department. The mobile camera trailer will support rapid deployment to crime hotspots, special events, and other priority locations, providing video evidence, suspect and vehicle identification, deterrence, and intelligence-led policing support. The purchase is expected not to exceed $126,000 CAD, exclusive of applicable taxes. The City cites the need to replace an approximately 12-year-old existing trailer and maintain compatibility with six public safety cameras previously acquired from Verkada, including integration with Axon's Digital Evidence Management System and access through Verkada's secure cloud platform and mobile application. Respondents may object by demonstrating their ability to provide goods and services of the same or better quality and price within the required period, including their availability and resources.
