Description
The Metropolitan Airports Commission is seeking an operator for a foreign currency exchange concession at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport. The selected operator must provide staffed locations that buy and sell foreign currency banknotes in U.S. and foreign currencies, operate every day of the year during MAC-approved hours, and provide customer-focused management, staffing, maintenance, delivery, and security procedures. Optional services may include international and domestic wire transfers, money orders, U.S. postage stamps, cash advances, and unstaffed ATMs dispensing foreign currencies. The proposer must provide a concept and design plan, management and operations plan, financial offer, pro forma operating statement, business and financial references, renderings, floor and back-of-house plans, and evidence of at least five years of foreign-currency-exchange experience in an airport or other high-traffic area. The concession space is offered as-is and requires the operator to design, build out, furnish, and maintain the facility in accordance with MAC standards. The minimum percentage rent is 4.25% of currency-exchange turnover and 4.25% of sales commissions from optional products and services.
