Description
SUNY Maritime College seeks a qualified contractor to provide single-source design-build services for an externally illuminated architectural “M” logo on Baylis Hall. The scope includes New York State-licensed structural and electrical engineering; stamped mounting details, electrical schematics, installation and rigging plans, fixture cut sheets, and photometrics; fabrication of signage and its armature using materials suited to high winds and coastal salt air; and exterior lighting, rigging, anchoring, weatherproofing, and electrical integration. The contractor must provide a site superintendent, coordinate campus logistics, and complete the work within 60 days after notice to proceed. Bidders must demonstrate at least four comparable contracts completed within the past five years. The project is subject to prevailing wages and has MBE and WBE participation goals of 11% and 19%, respectively. A 5% bid security is required. Performance and labor-and-material bonds of 100% of the awarded contract amount are due after award. The solicitation also requires current New York State workers’ compensation and disability insurance forms.
