Description
The Hillsdale County Road Commission is soliciting bids for seal-grade asphalt emulsion tack and hot mix asphalt. The estimated tack requirement is 10,000 gallons, and the estimated hot mix asphalt requirement is 10,000 to 12,000 tons, including MDOT Mixes 13A and 36A and approved alternatives. Bidders must provide unit pricing, applicable hauling charges, manufacturer certification for the asphalt emulsion, and mix designs for approval. Hot mix asphalt will be delivered to individual job sites throughout the county as needed during the normal paving season; the Road Commission will perform placement. The contract covers one year, with an option for a one-year extension, and prices are to remain firm for the 2027 paving season. Bids may be awarded to one or multiple vendors. Required response materials include the completed pricing sheet, at least three relevant references, a brief firm-qualifications description, the legal-status form, non-collusion affidavit, certificate of authorization for contract execution when applicable, and an equipment list. Addendum No. 1 revises the bid opening time to 11:00 a.m.; all other terms and requirements remain unchanged, and bidders must acknowledge receipt of the addendum with their bid.
