Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs seeks preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, emergency response, testing, calibration, and technical support for kitchen and dietary equipment at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. The contractor must provide labor, materials, tools, transportation, and qualified technicians, and use original-equipment-manufacturer or equivalent parts. The equipment inventory includes refrigeration and freezer units, ice machines, ovens, dishwashers, food warmers, snack machines, and ventilator hoods. Preventive maintenance includes scheduled cleaning, inspection, testing, lubrication, calibration, and performance verification. Corrective and emergency work is performed on a time-and-materials basis upon government request and approval, with specified response times, cost documentation, and service reporting. The amendment clarifies that hood preventive maintenance is included, with quarterly hood preventive maintenance only; additional hood and duct cleaning may be ordered under applicable time-and-materials line items. The contract has a one-year base period and two one-year option periods.
