Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs anticipates soliciting a single firm-fixed-price, design-bid-build construction contract for Project 695-501 at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. The work includes renovating existing spaces on the second floor of Building 111, constructing a new addition adjacent to the second-floor A-wing above the one-level Emergency Department, and connecting the spaces as a new four-operating-room suite. The contractor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, qualified supervision, and other required items. The scope includes coordination of ancillary mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire-protection, and biomedical-engineering equipment. The procurement is planned as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business set-aside, with an anticipated construction magnitude of $10 million to $20 million and an approximately 635-calendar-day period of performance from issuance of the notice to proceed. The presolicitation states that the future solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bids under FAR Part 14.
