Description
Milwaukee Transport Services, Inc., operator of the Milwaukee County Transit System, is soliciting bids for AROWGuard Full Driver Shield Barriers or approved equals for Gillig buses. The scope includes furnishing and installing barriers that protect drivers while preserving visibility, cockpit clearance, ADA accessibility, and compatibility with existing fareboxes. Barriers must meet detailed requirements for materials, glazing, locking, tamper resistance, vibration dampening, Buy America compliance, and durability. Installation must be performed on-site at the MTS Fleet Maintenance building during specified weekday hours, with a two-year warranty on shield components. The price proposal must use the provided price-sheet format and include fully burdened installation labor. MTS intends to purchase 25 shields initially and may purchase up to 220 additional shields with installation during a three-year IDIQ contract, with up to two additional one-year extension options; no volume beyond the initial purchase is guaranteed. Equivalent products require a no-cost sample for testing, and the bidder must provide the required federal, non-collusion, conflict-of-interest, EEO, bidder-list, lobbying, and Buy America certifications.
